First, we played in the swings. Jaden enjoyed them, especially when I pushed him really high, which made Nanna a bit nervous. :) Swings are fun, but they're a bit passive, so we were soon on to the next thing. Jaden sat on a big dinosaur with Nanna, but it was too big for Jaden to really rock, and just sitting there was kind of boring. Next, we tried the horse. It was smaller, but still not quite the right size. It was too small for anyone to sit on with him, but too big for him to get his feet down, so he couldn't keep his balance too well.
Finally, we migrated over to the big playscape. I was skeptical that Jaden would actually be able to do much with it, but boy was I wrong. He crawled back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth some more through a big tube.
He slid down two different slides and decided he liked the tube slide better than the open slide. He climbed up the steps, walked with assistance across the wiggly bridge, crawled through the pebbles from one spot to the next, and then did it all over again. Crazy Mama to think that a silly thing like not being able to walk would keep a little boy from enjoying the playground!!
When we had done all there was to do multiple times, we packed up and headed home. After a thorough hand-washing, Jaden headed off to bed for his afternoon nap. All the activity and fresh air had done him in. All in all, everyone had a wonderful time. I imagine next time we make it back up to Dallas and go back to that same playground, our little boy will be walking. I look forward to each new adventure and treasure them all up in my heart.

Go Jaden go! That does not surprise me, especially after watching all the little brothers in our playgroup. About nothing stops them and they love the playground.
